E-commerce SEO Specialist (Remote)
We are seeking a skilled E-commerce SEO Specialist to develop and implement data-driven strategies that boost search visibility, drive organic traffic, and improve rankings for ecommerce websites. In this fully remote role, you'll apply your expertise in on-page SEO, technical SEO, and keyword research to deliver measurable results, optimize website performance, and enhance online sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Keyword Research
Develop data-driven SEO strategies aligned with business goals by identifying high-impact keywords, with a focus on ecommerce products and categories.
On-Page Optimization
Optimize meta tags, headings, URLs, and internal linking for improved search performance on product and category pages.
Technical Audits:
Identify and resolve issues affecting indexing, speed, and crawlability across ecommerce platforms.
Monitor Algorithm Updates
Stay current with Google updates (E-E-A-T, Core Updates, SERP changes) and adjust strategies accordingly.
Utilize SEO Tools
Leverage tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Surfer SEO, and the Rank Math Plugin to track performance and deliver actionable insights.
Improve Site Structure
Enhance website architecture, Core Web Vitals, and overall user experience, specifically tailored for e-commerce sites.
Collaborate with Content Teams
Work with content creators to optimize product descriptions, e-commerce content, and blog articles for SEO.
Reporting & Insights
Develop and present structured reports to guide ongoing improvements.
Requirements:
Experience
1+ years of proven E-commerce SEO experience.
Keyword Research Expertise
Must have strong keyword research skills using Ahrefs (we exclusively use Ahrefs for keyword analysis).
SEO Knowledge
In-depth understanding of on-page SEO, technical SEO, and search ranking factors.
SEO Tool Proficiency
Experience using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Surfer SEO, and the Rank Math Plugin.
Ecommerce Platform Expertise
Experience with at least one ecommerce platform is required (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, Squarespace).
Audit Skills
Ability to conduct comprehensive SEO audits and implement effective solutions.
SEO Data Analysis
Ability to analyze SEO data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve search performance.
Remote Workflow Management
Familiarity with using Trello for task management and workflow coordination in a remote environment.
